Post by Manitoubrian » Fri Nov 16, 2007 5:58 pm

Hi Everyone,

I have a faa ppl(h). I need to do my annual flight review.

Looking for a FAA instructor rated on the R22 willing to do this.

Are you sure you need to do this annually? I thought FAA requirement was a Biennial Flight Review - ie every 24 months... am certain is is so for FW, is it different for Rotorcraft?

Hi Manitoubrian,
A friend of mine not too far from you in Newry is an FAA instructor, I will give him a call and see is he rated on the R22 almost sure he is but will check anyway.

Thanks Border. Think i've got someone lined up from enniskillen, but it's always good to know all the faa instructors that can help in the future. Newry is just 10 minutes from me by car.

Hum, the flight review is bi-annual for helicopters. Robinson's however need an annual review until you have 200 hours.

Thanks for the help

Brian

Now I know you are from B.Bridge I hope you will find time to join our Flying Club in Newry.
P.S. I am originally a Hilltown man and if you need any info on the club you can pm me.

Hey border. Are you operating that strip beside the Warrenpoint dual carriageway?

I approached into there during the summer, but looked too wet to land so just hovered up and down it.

I've a strip at banbridge if you want to call in..
