Revalidation of PPL Proficiency Test

Post by Trigger » Thu Jun 19, 2014 2:07 pm

Currently have to apply for this as full 12 hours not practical at this late stage or affordable.... etc
So has anyone completed this test, if so what did it entail ? how comparable to PPL test was it ?
Many thanks in waiting !! :D

Hi Trigger,

Under the new EASA system you don't have to apply for an LPC anymore, you can contact any EASA SEP Examiner directly and do it with them. They will need to inform the authority before completing the test. If you do the flight before the rating expires it is very straightforward, I think it's very similar to the PPL skills test but I don't think there's any navigation involved (open to correction on this). Just upper air work, general handling, PFL and some circuits.

Hope this helps.

Mark
