Nice site P8, hope all goes well for yiz.

I agree about the flying club article, would love to see what's going on elsewhere. And you could have one of those cost comparison tables like the newspapers do when comparing credit cards.

You suggest a direct correlation between flight hours logged and validity of opinion?

Interesting theory.

Got it yesterday. It sucks.

I like the uncluttered print on the reverse showing aerodromes only though.

But I agree with Nosedive. Anyway you just have to carry it on board to be legal, there's no law requiring you to use it.

Re: Flying in Ireland meet up

I could easily round up 5 or 6 forumites from the South East direction and 2 or 3 planes. Shotgun! Just wondering what everyone would make of this ? Great opportunity to put faces to names. You already know my name but I'd imagine you still want to see my beautiful face Go on, name a date so.

Yes they do.

Perhaps not on a nominal salary, but they're paid for their work.

Nothing like a lesson with an instructor throwing it into the airfield every which way in simulated engine failure situations to improve one's confidence in one's abilities.

€100 is a lot for one person I think, but it would def. be worth a group of 3/4 people maybe for a syndicate. Anyone want to go in with me?? :)

I presume if he has a PPL he can read. The question is, does he want to!?

First light and Chickenhawk are two excellent but very different true stories written by wartime pilots.
