Re: Weston into receivership

That could be dangerous, only 25 years ago Ryanair were complaining about the monopoly that was Aer Lingus and BA on the Dublin London route. If they snap the rest of the shares up it'll be tough for anyone else to break into the market on Ryanair's home turf. Easyjet and others tried and ran with t...

Re: Inishbofin Clegan

Just up at Cleggan last week, runway is in good condition. The white X's are very faint now  .

Did a walk up the length of it, just a few very small pebbles, kicked most of them off.

Re: Fatigue has killed and will kill again.

GA doesn't make enough money for them to give a flying monkeys. Scale it down and even look at Ireland. The IAA are a semi state body (monopoly), their focus will be on doing the job but in a financially lucrative way. The IAA state that 'overflights and communications revenue account for almost 80%...

Re: Emergency Landing in Connemara (Letterfrack)

Could we have an orderly wind-down of the sneering superior tone, please? Well said Stovepipe. I think it's fair to say that, as of yet, no one here knows for certain if it was an emergency landing or a regular landing. This is a forum, and the nature of forums is.... you guessed it.... rampant rum...

Re: Aeromedical Section

Yeah I had trouble getting through back in Jan/Feb using the number I had. If you call the IAA main number and ask them to put you through. Worked for me.

Fair play to them, that's some adventure. Did they start off in the states or is it a European N reg?

Re: QATAR CADET PILOT SCAM!!!!!

Very true, I'd say your money is safer with a Nigerian gold mine heiress than it is with those Anglo b/wankers (delete as appropriate)

The deal is off KeithT, I'm going to invest that money into an Iraqi time share property.

Re: QATAR CADET PILOT SCAM!!!!!

I'm not so sure KeithT. I've already sent $40,000 to the Cathay Pacific Cadetship with headquarters in Nigeria and another $50,000 for the Aer Arann Cadetship who strangely enough, also have their headquarters in Nigeria...

Money is on it's way yo you.. That's Springfield in Nigeria right??
