Just a sign off. I never had to get any addons by the IAA. Sign of is mostly an insurance requirement that your are competent to fly one.

Re: Bose A20 Headset

Hi. I have Bose A20 aswell. It was my best aviation upgrade. Had mine for nearly 2 years now and they are excellent. The noise cancelling is just amazing, when you first get them you start reaching for the throttle when you turn them on as ANR start working. Also very comfortable for long hours flyin...

Re: Renewing/Revalidate CAA PPL and Medical

Give NFC in Weston a call. Their current CFI is a CAA examiner and I'm sure he can renew it for you or help you out with your queries. Other then that you can renew your licence in Enniskillen aswell.

Re: Recommended GPS unit

Does it need to be a standalone GPS unit? I have a Garmin Aera 500 and its a great tool, but expensive, 28day cycles, regular map updates. Not cheap and not easy to use unless you're familiar with Garmin platforms. Theres pros and cons. I used mine on a few euro trips and that was it. Its good when ...

Re: swapping schools for winter

Hi. There'll be no problem swapping schools. If you want to progress thats the only way. Regardless of where you are with your lessons, a new instructor will determine that by flying with you. Obviously if you are competent and managing the lessons well there will be no need for repeating the basics...

I also searched and searched and I couldn't find it anywhere. I ended up getting one emailed to me from NFC where I got it signed.

Re: Bartolini Air, Poland

Friend of my completed CPL/MEir in Bartolini. Nothing but great reviews, he had no bad experiences at all. They have nice twin Tecnam, Glass cockpit, etc at a very good value. You train there and do your tests there. They operate under UK CAA, and most of the examiners are UK lads and you will be is...

Aero Google Glasses Future of aviation

Some serious technology here, I would defo like to try them out! Aero Glass is an augmented reality navigation system that works with Google Glass to help pilots visualise terrain, navigation, traffic (ADS-B), instrument, weather, and airspace information. http://vimeo.com/101826751" onclick="window...
