Re: Irishairpicts.com

Hi Guys, IrishAirPics.com was taken off line by my hosting provider who decided that they didn't like a piece of script I was using, even though it has been running for years. They shut the site down without any warning. I made the changes they required, now I'm just waiting for them to turn it back...

Re: Salhill Airshow 2010

Hi Guys, The Salthill Air Show as we knew it is not back yet. I think the journalist got a bit carried away with themselves. There will be a flying display in Salthill on Monday 7th but right now it is not planned to being a full blown air show. The flying display is being run as part of the power b...

The Flying Bulls @ Hangar-7

Morning all, I paid a visit to Red Bulls Hangar-7 in Salzburg a few weeks ago and for those of you who don't already know Hangar-7 is home to the Flying Bulls aircraft collection. Both the hangar and the aircraft are immaculate, everything is highly polished, the lighting at night is pretty cool too...

Hi CVR,

Thanks for confirming that info. Just out of curiousity, was it a local Irish thing? I couldn't find anything on the official Robinson Owners Group website about it but then again the website is mostly geared towards the US market (from what I could see anyway).

Regards,

Frank.

Robinson Owners Group get together at Clifden last June?

Hi Guys, While I was in Clifden for the Connemara Air Show last June I ended up wandering around the grounds of the Abbeyglen Castle Hotel taking pictures of various Robinson helicopters. I'm putting together a mini report for my website (only 8 pictures) but I'm not 100% sure why they were there. I...

Air Corps Air Firing pictures

Hi Guys, I recently spent a day with the Flying Training School of the Air Corps as they prepared their PC-9 trainers for air firing practise using their .50 inch gun pods. Unfortunately I couldn't make it when they were firing the rockets so I've got no piccies of that. I'll give you a teaser shot ...

michael747 et al, The hard back A3 envelopes cost approximately 1.60EUR, not 15c. The Air Corps set the calendar price, I calculate the shipping costs. Any excess cash in the shipping charges is used to help defray the credit card charges incurred (example: 79c for a single calendar to Ireland). I c...
