If you have received a landing clearance, you can continue and land on the runway.
Otherwise, you need to conduct a low approach and overshoot and remain in the circuit, squawk 7600, and look for light signals while in circuit.

What would you do if you survived a ditching in the middle of the Irish Sea only to find there were no life jackets on board? I dont think youd be very happy. I think the main reason life jackets are on board are to make pax feel more comfortable. I personally feel alot more comfortable in the knowl...

You guys could also try for CTC Sponsored Cadet Scheme.. They take you from 0 hrs to a jet job in one of their partner airlines. You do have to pay a bond of approx £65k but if you pass selection and get into the course they have an agreement with HSBC who can offer that amount unsecured. CTC provid...

€120,000!!

Wow, I wonder who'd be mad enough straight out of doing the LC to fork that money out for an fATPL and degree!

If anything Id get a 'free' degree as entitled from the State and then look at flying.

Just saw the aerial view of the field on that website and my god it looks fantastic! Great job by the new owners! Few Qs if anyone knows; How many aircraft are currently based there and is there opportunities to base a/c there? Do the new owners plan on keeping (or at least trying to keep) the field...

This is fantastic news. I heard on the mill that Mr Hopkins was no longer running the strip and was hoping the new owners would give it a facelift. Cant wait to see the progress made when I get back.. C152, Im going to assume youre local enough to the area; if you happen to visit the strip any chanc...

Can anyone tell me if Flightwise have a Katana? I remember talk a while back about a DA20 and Flightwise but cant remember if they were only looking at it instead of purchasing.. And what are they like for hires if youve never trained with them? Do you have to have a min of 5hrs dual like NFC before...

Bit weird alright! Did the rotor catch something?

Not much details given in the article - just comments on the person who filmed it.

Only noteworthy point is the pilot escaped without injury by himself.

Was just about to post a thread saying I spotted the formation but thought it might have had something to do with Polly's visit so thought best to check here first. Spotted over Greystones at 1840 local (1740z) heading northbound, 2 PC9s each side of Polly's aircraft, and AW139 off to the left filmi...

To be honest, I think J3's "battling a serious hangover" comment might have been exaggerated due to the weekend that was in it and the style of his story (which is quite a light-hearted read). However, it just so happens by chance a friend of mine referred me to a link yesterday which I fi...
